1 Tesla high-field open MRI – the only one in Poland

We combine the comfort of an open space with the imaging quality of closed scanners. No tunnel, no claustrophobia, with a loved one by your side.

What does “1T high-field open MRI” mean?

A traditional 1.5T MRI is a closed tunnel with a diameter of approx. 60 cm. At APERTA, we use a 1 Tesla open scanner (HFO – High Field Open) – a design with two magnets above and below the table, with no walls around it. The high-field class ensures diagnostic quality comparable to 1.5T closed scanners for most routine indications.

Frequently asked questions

Will 1T produce poorer quality images than 1.5T?

No, for most routine indications. Modern 1T machines with advanced coils and sequences provide images that are diagnostically equivalent to those from 1.5T closed machines.

Can I bring my child / a carer with me?

Yes. The presence of an accompanying person is standard practice here, not an exception.

How much does the scan cost?

You can find the price list in the Price List tab. We accept payment by card, BLIK and bank transfer.

Is a referral required?

It is not required for a private scan, but we recommend having one for the referring doctor.

Do you offer contrast?

Yes, for selected examinations. The decision is made by the radiologist.

How long do I have to wait for the report?

24–48 hours, by email or on CD.

Is the scan safe?

Yes. MRI does not use ionising radiation – it is completely safe.

Can I come in with a metal implant?

Most orthopaedic implants are MRI-compatible. Please contact us before your appointment.
