Do I need to take sedatives?
In most cases – no. The open design eliminates the need for premedication.
What if I still feel panicky?
Press the stop button and we’ll stop the machine. You can rest and try again.
Can a loved one be with me?
Yes, always. That’s standard practice here.
Do you offer a preliminary visit?
Yes – come and have a look at the machine at your leisure, without an examination.
What if I stop the examination and don’t finish it?
We refund 100% of the deposit. We want you to feel secure financially as well.
Will the feeling of claustrophobia go away after the first positive experience?
Often, yes. A single successful session in the open machine builds confidence for the future.
Can I bring a therapy dog?
Yes, if you have a certified therapy dog. Please consult us in advance.
Are there any special facilities for PTSD patients at APERTA?
Yes: a calm atmosphere, no time pressure, and technicians with psychological training.
