3. Types of cookies used on the website

a) Essential cookies (technical/essential)

Required for the website to function properly — including maintaining the session in the patient portal, remembering the website language (PL/UK/EN), and remembering HCP confirmation in the doctors’ area. These cookies do not require the user’s consent in accordance with Article 173(3) of the Telecommunications Law.

b) Analytical cookies

These help analyse how the website is used (e.g. number of visits, popular pages, time spent on the site). They require the user’s consent, which can be granted or refused via the cookie banner on the first visit.

Currently, the APERTA website does not use Google Analytics or any other external analytics tools. Should these be introduced in the future, the user will be informed and asked for their consent.

c) Marketing cookies

The APERTA website does not use marketing cookies or ad tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, etc.).

5. Server logs

The hosting server automatically records technical logs containing the user’s IP address, the date and time of the request, the browser type and the page visited. This data is processed solely for technical purposes (to ensure security and for error diagnosis) and is stored for a maximum of 12 months.

The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., based in Cyprus. Hostinger is a data processor under a data processing agreement in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR.
