Liver MRI — focal lesions
Liver MRI with liver-specific contrast (Primovist). Differentiation between haemangioma, FNH, HCC and metastases.
Indications for the examination
We perform this MRI scan for both routine diagnostic and pre-operative purposes. APERTA uses a high-field 1 Tesla open scanner (Philips Panorama HFO) — ideal for patients with claustrophobia, children and larger individuals.
Preparation and duration of the examination
- Duration: 25–45 minutes
- Contrast: optional with gadolinium
- Preparation: no need to fast (unless the scan is of the abdomen)
- Please remove: jewellery, hearing aids, glasses
- Referral: from a specialist (orthopaedic surgeon, neurologist, urologist, oncologist)
