Lumbar MRI — discopathy
Diagnosis of lumbar disc herniation, sciatica and spinal stenosis. Pfirrmann and Modic classification. APERTA Rzeszów open MRI.
Indications for the examination
We perform this MRI scan for both routine diagnostic and pre-operative purposes. APERTA uses a high-field 1 Tesla open scanner (Philips Panorama HFO) — ideal for patients with claustrophobia, children and larger individuals.
Preparation and duration of the examination
- Duration: 25–45 minutes
- Contrast: optional with gadolinium
- Preparation: no need to fast (unless the scan is of the abdomen)
- Please remove: jewellery, hearing aids, glasses
- Referral: from a specialist (orthopaedic surgeon, neurologist, urologist, oncologist)
